LA, Audtion, Screening, and Classes
So, I had the pleasure to meet Lora Kennedy of Warner Brothers Feature Casting. She is working with Mr. Affleck on casting his next big feature THE TOWN. I read for a very colorful character. I love me some Boston accent! Keep fingers crossed. I'd love the opportunity to work with Ben Affleck. He did an awesome job directing Gone Baby Gone. We shall see... Oooh...on Friday, the 23rd, I went to a screening of the pilot episode of Rizzoli & Isles (Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander). Wow! What an exciting project that I am a part of. Unfortunately, I don't live much long after you see me in the show, but I can't tell you how excited I am to see the show air. It's awesome writing..and Sasha Alexander is my new fave! I worked with her..but I only had a few scenes with her...but to see her bring her character to life. The chemistry between Harmon and Alexander is amazing. They were both very well cast. The music and editing also make this show as well. Fast paced..like a good detective show should be. It airs in July on TNT. Look out for me! I'm going to be teaching at CP Casting in June, so if you're interested, visit www.cpasting.com to sign up. Also, if you're not on my email list to receive AB STUDIO class updates, email me.

The Night Before My Last Chekhov Class

So, I'm in LA now..that's where life has taken me.  I've been setting up shop for some time now, but it's ends up LA will be my new home.  I will still be going back and forth to teach on the East Coast of course.

I wanted to give a shout out to an amazing teacher I found through doing research on the net.  I'm obsessed with the Michael Chekhov Technique.  I use it when I'm on stage, in front of the camera, or even teaching my own students.  Her name is Marjo-Riikka Makela.  She is the founder of The Chekhov Studio in Los Angeles. I encourage you all to study with her if you're looking for a technique to build your  foundation as an actor or just a refresher course.  She''s a really amazing teacher, and you will get so much from the Michael Chekhov Technique itself.
